You can find Cocoa Bakery at 475 Central Avenue, Jersey City Heights, NJ 07307. It's the intersection of Congress Street and Central Avenue in the Heights. There's street parking available along Central Avenue and on side streets.
Tuesday – Saturday: 9am – 7pm
Sunday: 9am – 5pm
Closed Mondays.
Phone calls are answered Tuesday through Sunday, 10:30am – 5pm. Emails are not checked on Sundays or Mondays so please plan accordingly for time-sensitive orders.
Yes. We're open Sunday from 9am to 5pm. We are closed Mondays.
Yes. Order online through our Square storefront for pickup at our Central Avenue location. Most items are available for online ordering but selection may vary. Order Online Here
We offer third-party delivery through Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Doordash for everyday orders. For large custom orders and catering, direct delivery within Jersey City may be available by arrangement. Please contact us to discuss.
Street parking is available on Central Avenue and surrounding streets in the Heights.

All custom orders placed through our website require at least 72 hours' notice. For custom cakes, we recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for weddings and large events, where we ask for at least two weeks' notice and offer a tasting appointment. For everyday items like cupcakes and cake truffles, you can order online or stop in-store the same day, subject to availability.
Same-day orders are available for items in stock at the bakery, so please come visit us. We'd love to help you find what you need! Same-day requests for custom or pre-made orders placed through our website cannot be accommodated. Online orders require 72 hours' notice.
Please fill out the inquiry form on our Custom Cakes page, or call us at (201) 830-3430. Tell us your occasion, event date, approximate guest count, any flavor preferences, and dietary needs. We'll follow up to confirm availability and walk you through the next steps. For wedding cakes, we offer a tasting appointment with two weeks' notice.
A deposit may be required for large custom orders and catering bookings. We'll confirm this when we follow up on your inquiry.
We do not offer refunds on uncollected orders.

We make custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, corporate events, graduations, baptisms, communions, anniversaries, and pretty much any celebration you can think up. If you have an occasion in mind, get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
No. All of our cakes are buttercream-finished. We believe buttercream looks better and tastes significantly better than fondant, and our customers agree. If you've been quoted fondant elsewhere and want to explore what's possible with buttercream, we'd love to show you.
Yes, for wedding cakes and large custom orders. Tasting appointments require at least two weeks' notice. Please contact us to schedule.
